Anthony Petrello along with his wife Cynthia have dedicated their time and money to Texas Children’s Hospital’s Neurological Research Institute. They have donated $5 million dollars, and have a commitment to donate a total of $7 million dollars and have lead fundraising efforts to raise even more money. For them, every day is a miracle and the want to create more miracles for others.
Carena, their daughter was born at only 24 weeks. When she was born she only weighed 20 ounces. At the time she was born Carena was diagnosed with a neurological disease that many premature infants can suffer from called periventricular leukomalacia. This is a result of a lack of oxygen or blood to her brain. From these Carena now suffers from cerebral palsy, which means her motor skills are impaired and she can face other developmental setbacks and issues that Anthony and Cynthia Petrello have dedicated their time and money to finding answers to.
Anthony Petrello is the President and Chief Operating Officer of one of the largest drilling companies, Nabors. Besides his job which demands hard work and time, Anthony is dedicated to finding answers. He sits on the board of The Texas Children Hospital Board of Trustees where he helps to lead searches for cures and answers. Anthony Petrello and Cynthia hope that in the future they can find answers for their daughter and other people’s children in hopes that they can all reach their full potential. They are both determined to continue working for advancements to help Carena and children like her.
