The Career of Sudhir Choudhrie

Sudhir Choudhrie might be at the top of his field now, but it was not easy for him to get to that point in his career. So just how was he able to rise through the ranks to become the successful businessman he is now? Well, he was born in September of 1949 in India & was raised by his mom after his dad passed away early on in his childhood. He proved to be one of the top students in his class which is how he was able to go to college for free. Sudhir Choudhrie had his pick of any college in the world but in the end, he opted to go to the university of Delhi where he pursued a bachelor’s in economics. His uncle just so happened to be the chairman of HAL, basically the Indian version of NASA, until stepping down in 2013.

As soon as he turned his back on his academic career, he had the option to join his grandfather in the real estate industry but chose to go his own way in lieu of becoming part of the family business. So, he decided to start buying up a lot of tv equipment that he would sell back to the government. He later began to export a lot of consumer goods such as farm equipment & other heavy machinery. In 2013, Sudhir Choudhrie was given the asian business lifetime achievement award by then prime minister Theresa May & he was also Latvia’s consul general to India for more than a decade.
